Important Salt River Recreation Details 

Hours of Operation: 
Open daily from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm during the season 

Requirements: 

• Valid driver’s license needed for tube rental 

• Deposit required (per 5 tubes rented) 

• Kids must be at least 8 years old AND 4 feet tall 

• Life vests strongly recommended for children and less experienced swimmers 

Rules to Know: 

• Glass containers are prohibited by law and will be taken away 

• Staff will check all coolers and ice chests before boarding shuttles 

Planning Your Perfect River Float 

The Salt River offers different float durations based on your start and end points: 

Float Times: 

• Point 1 to Point 2 (bridge): About 2 hours 

• Point 2 to Point 4: About 3 hours 

• Point 1 to Point 4: About 5 hours 

Choose your route based on how long you want to spend on the water. First-timers might prefer the shorter 2-hour option, while experienced tubers often go for the full 5-hour journey.
